Jan. 3, 2013 with Visitors.  
This was our second day out on the new boat.  We left North Captiva and went to Ft. Myers Beach at the Pink Shell Resort Marina--a very nice, brand new facility.  We picked up family and friends, all 14 of them, for a day trip out to Sanibel Island.  We docked and had a great lunch at Gramma Dot's and somehow left with one of their cleats and dockline.  Second mate's total responsibility but there are new visuals and levels on everything.....no excuse, but everyone loved to have a story to tell.  We traveled back to Moss Marine in Ft. Myers Beach so everyone could easily enjoy the downtown.  We spent a night there and then back to Legacy Harbor Marina in Ft. Myers.

Shakedown Cruise

Jan. 1, 2013.  Shake down cruise of Seventh Sun III on January 1, 2013.  Docked at Barnacle Phil's on North Captiva Island.  This was not our original destination but it worked out nicely.  The island is only accessible by boat and was very quiet.  Everything on the boat worked well.  The water depth is such a new thing for us--there were a couple of "shallow water" events.
